What are the benefits of BSMI certification applications through TÜV Rheinland?

1. Combined system auditing and factory inspection, time/effort/costs saved

When applying for the various BSMI certifications, the customer can present TÜV Rheinland Taiwan's factory inspection report or TAF ISO 9001 certificate for final BSMI certification. For future BSMI factory inspections, the customer can consider a combination with other factory inspections requested for the Germany GS/Bauart Mark, North America cTUVus Mark, Japan PSE Mark, China CCC Mark, and others. Such combination can also be applied in the area of certification of management systems. ISO 9001 certification via Germany’s DAR, the USA’s RAB, and Taiwan’s TAF can be simply attained with one audit through TÜV Rheinland Taiwan. Moreover, the customer can also combine a factory inspection and system audit in one process. TÜV Rheinland Taiwan's inspectors are all qualified ISO 9001 auditors and are fully capable of providing the combined inspection/audit service.

2. Acceptance of CB test report/certificate for information technology equipment and uninterruptible power supplies

There are 6 NCBs under the IECEE CB Scheme operated by TÜV Rheinland Group at Germany, USA, Japan, Hungary and Brazil. Their 18 associated CBTLs are located at Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea, Germany, USA, New Zealand and Hungary. Under the commodity inspection rules for ITE & UPS products, most of TÜV Rheinland's NCB/CBTLs are BSMI recognized for acceptance of test reports that lead to local certification. Our CB Test Certificate and Test Report will be accepted by a BSMI designated safety testing laboratory, i.e., TÜV Rheinland Taiwan, for commodity inspection after verification of accordance with the requirements of the Chinese National Standard (CNS). Following this registration our customers will find it much easier and cost effective to get their products approved for the Taiwanese market.
