REACH – Registration
The Right Way to Register
The European Chemicals Agency has been set up in Helsinki, Finland. In the following months from spring 2008 companies will be required to submit the pre-registration. Afterward the registration will take place according to the delays. Well-functioning archives and data collections will then pay dividends because all existing data on the substance must be submitted with the registration. Given that very few firms keep all substances and data about them centrally, data collection alone is going to cost money at some companies. At the pre-registration stage buying in data could make sense.
Decisions on which substances are to be registered should be made in best alreadyduring pre-registration on the basis of what is known about anticipated direct and indirect costs and the possible cost reduction.
After SIEF data interchange at the latest, the company will have an overview of other registrees (potential consortium partners) and all existing information about the substance or substances.
TUV Rheinland supports you at all stages of registration and pre-registration. Should you so wish, we will of course be delighted to handle the entire registration process for your substances. We will compile the registration documents in full, submit them and represent your interests in dealings with the European Chemicals Agency
