TÜV Rheinland STAR* is a new and unique evaluation and rating service developed by the TÜV Rheinland Group. TÜV Rheinland STAR* brings a new perspective and solution to the evaluation of corporate sustainability and social performance. 

Drawing inspiration from new market requirements resulting from increased globalization and social awareness, TÜV Rheinland STAR* is based on our experience and services, as well as the UN Global Compact, OECD-Guidelines, GRI, SA 8000, Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC), etc for the supply chain and other management systems and product certification standards. 

TÜV Rheinland STAR* applies an exclusive 9 Dimension rating process to analyze an organization's performance, summarizing the results into an overall classification within our five-star rating system. Like the finest restaurants and hotels, a “five-star organization” is distinguished by an extraordinary level of excellence. 

Upon request, the organization can be evaluated in a 10th Dimension – Customer Specific Requirements – e.g., evaluation of delivery reliability or quality of suppliers.
