TÜV Rheinland STAR* is a new and unique evaluation and rating service developed by the TÜV Rheinland Group. TÜV Rheinland STAR* brings a new perspective and solution to the evaluation of corporate sustainability and social performance. 

Drawing inspiration from new market requirements resulting from increased globalization and social awareness, TÜV Rheinland STAR* is based on our experience and services, as well as the UN Global Compact, OECD-Guidelines, GRI, SA 8000, Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC), Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) CSR guideline, etc. for the supply chain and other management systems and product certification standards. 

TÜV Rheinland STAR* applies an exclusive 9 Dimension rating process to analyze an organization's performance, summarizing the results into an overall classification within our five-star rating system. Like the finest restaurants and hotels, a "five-star organization" is distinguished by an extraordinary level of excellence. 

Upon request, the organization can be evaluated in a 10th Dimension – Customer Specific Requirements – e.g., evaluation of delivery reliability or quality of suppliers.
